This course provides an overview of the legal principles that govern commercial relationships and the operation of businesses in the United States. Students learn how the legal system functions, how laws are created and enforced, and how key areas of law affect everyday business decisions. The course emphasizes practical understanding of contracts, torts, agency relationships, employment law, business organizations, and government regulation. Through case studies, real‑world examples, and applied problem‑solving, students develop the ability to identify legal issues, evaluate risks, and communicate effectively about legal considerations in a business environment. By the end of the course, students will understand how legal frameworks shape business strategy and how to work effectively with legal professionals.
