This course offers a survey of psychological perspectives on the interdisciplinary field of human sexuality. Concepts examined in this course include sexual response, sex, gender, sexual orientation, sexual behavior, attractions, communication, and sexual health. The foundation for inquiries into these topics is empirical research.

Learning Outcomes:
- Explain major psychological concepts and theoretical perspectives about human sexuality.
- Describe contemporary and historical sexuality research methods.
- Identify key psychology of sexuality themes from diverse perspectives, including historical, biological, behavioral, and sociocultural perspectives.
- Examine their own beliefs and explore their own assumptions about sexuality, and compare these to scientific knowledge about the range of human sexuality.
- Discuss empirically based knowledge of sexuality as it relates to ethical, media, public policy, and popular culture issues.
- Increase their own comfort with topics of sex so they can more effectively make decisions about it.
