Associate of Applied Science

The associate of applied science degree with specialization in computer science is designed to train students for the area of computer programming in an engineering/science environment.

Transfer Information

MCCC has transfer agreements with the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Davenport University and Western Governors University that allow students to transfer directly into the bachelor of science in computer and information science, software engineering or information assurance programs. Required Courses and Sequence


1MATH 171 needs to be completed before taking CIS 167 (Discrete Structures). If math placement is not sufficient to achieve MATH 171 in the first semester, student should start the math sequence and use the general electives in order to complete MATH 171 by the end of the Fall Semester of the second year.
