Certificate Program:

Program Outcomes

A. Utilize basic programming skills

B. Use, install, configure, manage, troubleshoot and maintain a server operating system

C. Install, configure, use, troubleshoot and maintain microcomputer operating systems

D. Demonstrate a basic understanding of networks and computer security in the business environment. Configure basic TCP/IP networking services on computers in the workplace

E. Examine and apply the fundamental techniques of computer security

F. Identify and explain risk and potential security issues

G. Demonstrate responsible computer use as it deals with social, political, legal and ethical issues in today’s electronic society

H. Demonstrate foundation knowledge of information security/assurance within the organization

I. Demonstrate knowledge of the profession, its organizations, goals and leadership roles, literature/publications, issues, and research foundations

J. Demonstrate knowledge of security objectives and policy development.
