Computer Information Systems: PC Support Technician, A.A.S.

Associate of Applied Science Degree

The associate of applied science degree with specialization as a PC support technician is designed to train students in PC hardware maintenance and various PC operating systems.

Program Outcomes

A. Perform routine maintenance on the different computer hardware and operating systems in today’s businesses.

B. Update and upgrade different computer hardware and operating systems in today’s businesses.

C. Recommend and implement different computer systems and operating systems in today’s businesses.

D. Trouble-shoot and fix computers and their peripherals along with their operating systems that are used in today’s businesses.

E. Demonstrate a basic understanding of networks and computer security in the business environment.

F. Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

G. Utilize basic programming skills.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program will potentially be prepared for entry-level employment as:
