Associate of Applied Science Degree
The associate of applied science degree with specialization in data analytics is designed to provide practical and theoretical preparation for positions in business analytics or data science. This program provides two tracks-business analytics and data science– based upon the student’s interest. In addition to completion of the required general education courses, students desiring the program designation on their transcript must complete the required core and specialized courses.
Program Outcomes - Business Analytics Track
A. Demonstrate proficiency in using statistics and advanced math concepts used in data analysis.
B. Demonstrate proficiency in using spreadsheet tools used in data analysis.
C. Demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting principles in order to obtain financial data for analysis.
D. Demonstrate knowledge of business operational concepts including management, legal, and economic.
Program Outcomes - Data Science Track
A. Demonstrate proficiency in using statistics and advanced math concepts used in data analysis.
B. Demonstrate proficiency in using spreadsheet tools used in data analysis.
C. Demonstrate proficiency in applying computing theory, languages, and algorithms used in data analytics.
Transfer Information
