MATH 166 - Math for Elementary Teachers II

Prerequisites: MATH 156 within the last three years highly recommended

This course is a study of elementary probability and statistics, geometry, computer and calculator applications. An emphasis is put on the use of manipulatives and problem solving. Students will be expected to work with mathematics numerically, graphically, analytically, and verbally. The purpose of this course is to provide the future elementary school teacher with a perspective for understanding the mathematics taught in the elementary school.
