EMS 154 - Emergency Medical Technician IV

Prerequisites: EMS 153
This is the last in a series of four courses that will constitute a certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician, making the student eligible for National Registry Testing and eventual state licensure. In this class, students will be exposed to trauma and the many injuries associated with traumatic events. They will be asked to assess and treat a variety of injuries from many traumatic sources. Clinicals will be completed, both in the hospital and on an ambulance. Students must complete lecture and laboratory tasks in all four courses and complete the clinical rotations in the third and fourth classes to be eligible for the national examination.
